Beautiful Years Club
Join in on the fun.  Enjoy the company of other senior citizens aged 55 & older.  Members gather for breakfast, bingo, cards and informational speakers with topics of interest to seniors.  Call the rectory at 252-7297 for more information.

Eucharistic Days

Eucharistic Days (Forty Hours Devotion) will be held
at St. Hyacinth Church on
Sunday, Monday and Tuesday,
October 19, 20 and 21

The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed on the altar following the Sunday Mass at 11 a.m. and on Monday and Tuesday after the 9 a.m. Mass until 7 p.m. 

Evening Prayer and Benediction services each day at 7 p.m. with Fr. Frank Lioi, as presider and homilist.  The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available each day following Mass and Evening Prayer.

 


Catholic Ministries Appeal (CMA)

on September 22, Bishop Clark held a press conference announcing the start of the 2008/ 2009 Catholic Ministries Appeal.  All registered parishioners will receive a brochure, letter, pledge card and return envelope in the mail.  Please read the material carefully and give consideration to your participation.  Thank you.


Catholic Daughters of the Americas

would like to invite all women to attend 10:30 a.m. Mass at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn on Sunday, October 19.  Brunch will follow at the Holiday Inn.

Custodial / Maintenance Position Opening

Seeking adult candidates for a part-time position at St. Francis of Assisi Parish-Auburn (10-12 hours / week).  Duties include cleaning & maintenance of buildings & grounds, snow removal, event set-ups & misc. duties.  Some weekend hours may be required.  Must be able to lift 50 pounds.  Person needs to be self-motivated & able to identify preventive measures.  The individual must be able to operate riding lawn mower & snow-blower.  Please send resume & cover letter to Attn:  Maintenance Position, St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 299 Clark St., Auburn, NY 13021.


Flu Clinic Notice
Among the many locations in the area for Flu Clinics, the Catholic
Parishes in Auburn are making their facilities available.:
• September 25 — Sacred Heart 1:00pm — 3:00 pm
• September 27 — Holy Family after 4:30 Mass
• September 28 — Holy Family 9:45 am — 11:15 am
• October 9 — St. Alphonsus 10:30am — 12:30 pm
• October 15 — St. Francis 11:30 am —1:00 pm

Anyone covered by traditional Medicare should bring their card
with them. For anyone not covered by Medicare, the cost is
$30.00 for the flu shot and $50.00 for the pneumonia vaccine.
Privately insured will need to pay up front and file for reimbursement.

additional Altar Servers. Any person in
the parish who has received their First
Communion is eligible to participate. If

Listen to Polish music every Sunday morning with our local DJ "Polka" Jim Shanahan on "Polka Party" from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the local radio station aired from the Cayuga Community College campus in Auburn.  It is WDWN  and can be found at 89.1 FM on the radio dial.

Occasionally we receive requests for assistance with transportation
to church on Sunday. If you would be willing to offer a
parishioner an occasional ride, please call the parish office at

On the first Friday of each month.  Begins after the 9 a.m. Mass and continues until the start of Divine Mercy Devotions at 3 p.m.

On the first Friday of each month.  Begins at 3 p.m.  The devotion includes the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy, prayers for world peace, of the faithful, and for private petitions placed in the request box.
