Crocodiles

To my teachers and fellow students. I am making a speech on crocodiles.

As you know, crocodiles sometimes attack people. They have long jaws with crooked edges and lots of teeth. Their teeth are what makes crocodiles so famous. A big crocodile can weigh up to 2 tons (thatís 2000 pounds). The crocodile is a reptile like snakes, lizards, turtles, alligators and the biggest are the salt water crocodiles. There are 23 different kinds of crocodiles. A crocodile looks like a big lizard with a long jaws and stubby legs with webbed feet. The croc also has a long tail which is used for swimming. The croc is also covered with leather scales and could reach up to 20 feet long. Crocodiles live in salt water, rivers, swamps, and ponds. Crocs live most of their in water and in shallow water where only there eyes stick up.

Crocodiles are born from eggs and are hatched from a nest. The babies become adults in about 14 years and could live up to 100 years old. The crocodiles eat all kinds of animals like birds, pigs, turtles, and other animals. Crocs catch their food by gliding on the water and surprising them.

Most people are afraid of crocodiles but they are respected.
