There is an annual calendar of Youth Events, some are for the whole diocese and others are held locally. The team will help organise local events and ensure there is publicity for diocesan events The team will encourage young people to take part in the annual diocesan Lourdes Pilgrimage. A group is being formed to co-ordinate arrangements for World Youth Day 2011 Madrid. There will be a fund-raising event in early summer.
The team will work with young people aged between 15 and 25. Young people will be given the opportunity to:
- meet together for reflection
- to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ
- to become involved in work for social justice
- to socialise together and enjoy themselves
