Frequently Asked Questions

 

·       Do you need to be Catholic to attend?

o      People from all denominations and faiths are always welcome.

·       Is there a fee to attend theology on tap?

o      There is no membership fee or cost to attend

·       Do you need to be a member to attend?

o      There is no Theology on Tap membership

·       How often do meetings occur?

o      Typically meetings occur once a month; however, occasionally meetings may occur more frequently.

·       Do I need reservations?

o      There are no reservations, seating is on a first come-first serve basis. 

·       Is there a parking?

o      Yes, there is plenty of free parking in and around Luca’s.

·       How do I get from the train station to Lucas?

o      See the “Direction” tab.

·       When did this start?

o      Theology on Tap- Greenwich’s first meeting was February 19, 2004.  See the “What is Theology on Tap?” tab for more information.

·       Who is in charge of this?

o      Theology on Tap Greenwich is lead by Matthew Maloney, Director and founder, under the supervision of St. Mary’s Parish in Greenwich.

·       How can I help Theology on Tap (Time/money etc.)?

o      Theology on Tap-Greenwich can always use help/suggestions.  If you would like to help run meetings, donate money, suggest speakers, etc.  Feel to contact TOT Greenwich (see Contacts).

·       What type of people typically attend?

o      Typically most people are between 20-40 years old living in Southern CT, Westchester County, and NYC.

·       Is there a dress code?

o      There is no dress code; however, most people are coming to Theology on Tap after work.

·       Do I need to drink alcohol to attend?

o      No, no one needs to consume alcohol; however, it is available if someone would like it.

·       Is food/dinner served?

o      There are free appetizers that are provided at the start of the meeting.  If you would like to eat dinner, I would suggest arriving early and eating dinner at Luca’s restaurant before the theology on tap meeting.

·       Will there be confessions heard after the talks?

o      Priests will be available after each meeting to hear confessions.

·       What if I arrive late or need to leave early?

o      Although we would like everyone to arrive early and stay late; if you happen to arrive late or need to leave early, feel free to do so.
