"Let them not undervalue the souls entrusted to them."

"Let them take up the strong and most excellent arms of obedience, to do battle for Christ the Lord, the true King."

"Let them work at their craft with all humility."

Who are we?

We are a community of women who follow the rule of St. Benedict, the 6th century founder of monasticism in Europe. Benedictines have played an important part in the work of the Church throughout the centuries. The Benedictine Sisters of Corpus Christi Monastery continue the Benedictine tradition of seeking God in silence, detachment, solitude, service and constant prayer. The main characteristics of our community are summed up in three traditional mottos:

That in all things God may be glorified.

Pray and work!

What is our work?

Our first work is the recitation of the Divine Office and theCommPray full participation in liturgical and community prayer including an hour of daily exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in our chapel.

Beyong this, any work for the good of souls is in keeping with the Benedicitne life. Our sisters teach school, work in apostolates accordning to the needs of the Chruch and the gifts God has given to each member of the community, and performing necessary household tasks.
