Nigerian Federation of Catholic Students (A.B.U. Chapter)
The Nigerian Federation of Catholic Students is the umbrella body of which all Catholic students in all tertiary institutions belong.
The Nigerian Federation of Catholic Students, N.F.C.S. is affiliated with Pax Romana, an international movement for Catholic Students, which was founded in 1921 at Fribourg, Switzerland. From here, it has spread to all parts of the world. The continent of Africa was not left behind for it has its headquarters in Kenya in the Eastern part of Africa where it co-ordinates the activities of the international movement of Catholic Students in Africa.
Here in A.B.U. we donít have the available records of when it started in this great institution, but from the records available, it was said to have been registered with the school authority sometime in 1997. It all started as a small body, but gradually it has grown to a stage where each faculty has her own fellowship, and officers to run her activities, while the central body within the school co-ordinates the activities of all the faculties of which they meet once a month with a population of about one thousand five hundred.
