Happy New Year and Welcome to Our New Website for the Cathedral

Fr Andrew Mann - the Cathedral Administrator today - 1st of January 2002 officially launched the new website for the cathedral parish. "Our hope is that this new venture will present new and exciting possibilities for our Cathedral parish. The number of people with access to a personal computer has increased dramatically over the past few years and a web presence is therefore a natural step for any parish and in particular a cathedral. Please take time to browse our pages and feel free to make any comments on it. Happy New Year."

Weekly Newsletter

Every week the newsletter you get on Sunday with the Mass sheet will be published on-line. Changes to Mass times, meetings, and all sorts of parish activities will be broadcast on this site. Items for the bulletin can be sent by email to the Cathedral but should arrive at no later than Tuesday evening. Items sent by post or by hand need to be with us a day later, Wednesday 5pm.

Are You New to our Parish?

If you are new to the Cathedral parish then you are most welcome to our faith community. We hope you find us a friendly parish with lots to offer. Please take a minute to register on-line as a parishioner. You can do this by visiting our new parishioners page. Alternatively you can speak to one of the clergy by appointment or after Mass.

Help us to Improve our Halls

Plans have been drawn up to renovate and extend the cathedral halls. With the Bishop's encouragement we have drawn up plans to renovate and extend the halls as a vital project for the new millennium. This will benefit the whole parish and provide a suitable space for not only parish and deanery groups but also groups from the local community. Our aim is to provide a meeting place and other facilities to help foster a caring and responsible community. Find out more...
