![]() National Catholic Youth Conference November 13-16, 2003 in Houston ![]() When I went to NCYC once again, like 2 year ago in Indianapolis, IN .... I learned lots from that NCYC. It's really inspired me about learn something new about faith in God. I had learned lots about people's life with Okahoma Bombs in 1995 which killed one man's daughter-when it's happened and her father really full with anger with that man who killed his daughter and he couldn't understand why that happened to him... so he went to one family of one man who bombed the Okahoma building and forgave them and made him feel better. Really there is so many thing you can learn about church things like forgiveness, faith, learn about God more. I'm really enjoyed it so much and also I do really enjoyed their weather in Houston! I hope we will get more young deaf kids go to NCYC in 2006! --Matt NCYC in Houston, TX was awesome experience for me. NCYC had some wonderful workshops. I learned a lot more about God, I have more faith in him now since I went to NC YC. Other nice thing about NC YC was that we got to go to NASA museum which was nice. What a wonderful experience for me!! ---William ![]() "Once again I have gone to NCYC, but in Houston, Texas with the nice weather. I enjoyed myself meeting other people and trading things with them like beads, necklaces, stickers and other things like that. I have been attending plenty of conferences with people from my church, St. John's the Baptist in Rome, NY and with the Syracuse Diocese of the deaf. I enjoy myself attending to the conferences meeting new people and be able to connect with God. Also, I hope to continue to go to these conferences as I grow older." ---Holly Marie ![]() It was good and it was fun. I had a great time. ---Rachael ![]() Will you join us in Atlanta in October 2006? |

THIS & THAT
Just as this issue was coming together, the news came that my mother-in-law died January 25th. Please remember Mary Alice Van Damme in prayer. Also please pray for these others who have died and their families:
J. Phillips "Phil" Campbell,
Father of Christopher Campbell On January 31st the Lay Ministers and Krista
Chapple, who assists
at NYSSD's Religious Education
classes, plus Mary Margaret and interpreters Marion Baratta and
Bea Murphy attended "Protecting
God's Children" session, as
required by the Diocese. It is a
step in healing the harm of sexual
abuse and preventing more. Let us celebrate with Suzi, our
photographer, and her husband Scott Trelease on the birth of
Benjamin Edward on Dec 29th! Congratulations to Mary & Bob
Menotti on their "Excellence
Award for Deaf Adults from
Aurora of CNY" on Nov 19th
for their involvement in the
Syracuse Deaf Community as
well as the Hearing Community.
They both have very big hearts. They have touched the lives of
many people.
Congratulations also to Christian
Wojnar, son of Diane & Ken. He recently graduated from the
College of Law at George
Washington University. He also
passed his bar exam and is now
a lawyer!
The new officers of ICDA 102: President: Albert D Perry Jr Advent and Christmas brought
special activities for our
Community. Those tough folks in the North wouldn't let a
snow-storm stop their gathering! Fantastic
