It is the purpose of St. Mary's Catholic Church to evangelize or bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to all of humanity. This mission first starts with one's self or self-evangelization.
Self-evangelization means to be open to the Gospel message of Jesus Christ and to enter into the life He wishes us to have through the Sacraments which He left us, viz. Baptism, Confession, Eucharist, Confirmation, Holy Orders, Marriage, and Annointing of the Sick. By reading God's Word, the Bible, and understanding its teachings through His Church, one can better adapt the Good News to one's life. St. Mary's is here to help with self-evangelization by encouraging Bible Studies, Religious Education, and service oriented ministries. If you need help in any of these areas, please contact the pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church by e-mailing him below.
The second level of evangelization is within the family. Parents are the primary educators of their children, especially in areas of the Catholic Christian Faith. Parents are to see to it, that along with providing food, shelter, & secular education, that they also provide for the spiritual growth of their children by first modeling Christian behavior and then educating them in the ways of the Faith. This is a serious obligation!
The third level is that of the parish. As baptized Catholic Christians we are called to worship on Sundays as a parish and to spread the Good News--as a parish! Be involved at St. Mary's Parish!
